1. YAML Builder
The YAML Builder is a tool for visually creating YAML-based CSS layouts. It allows for the setting of basic layout characteristics like the number and positioning of the content columns, as well as the dynamic creation of grid-based layouts by dragging and dropping subtemplates. Not quite WYSIWYG, but close!
The code generated by the Builder is based on the file structure of the "Simple Project" template, so that the complete result can be copied and pasted directly, without changing a thing. The required XHTML markup, the screen layout, as well as the layout-specific adjustments for Internet Explorer are all automatically generated.
The current version 1.1b is based on the functionality of YAML 3.0.x and does not yet support the creation of the full-page layout variations (see the Layout Examples). The generated code is already fully compatible with YAML 3.1.
The layout generated has changed significantly from previous versions. The main reason for change was to simplify the layout and in doing so make it easier to use. It no longer provides fixed width columns with fluid center or full length columns by default.
This generator will create a fluid or fixed width floated column layout, with up to 3 columns and with header and footer. Values can be specified in either pixels, ems or percentages.
Links to articles in the "Layout Hints" box to the right and the CSS Forum will provide help where needed.
The generator requires a DOM capable browser with JavaScript enabled.
To create your layout select the structural elements your site requires (header, footer, columns). Then specify a size in the field provided and choose a background color from the color chooser below.
The color chooser changes values as you move your mouse along a row. To set the value of a row, click on the color row, to release click again. Once the color in the box is the color you are after, click in the background-color field to assign it the value.
This CSS Generator was first released in 2002. It has been kept as close to original as possible in the recent site upgrade.
CSS Creator allows you to choose a style for your web page. Select different Cascading Style Sheet properties from the page below. To select a color, look for the HTML tag you want to effect, click the field you would like to insert color into, eg color or background, then simply click the color you want from the colors grid on the left. Most changes will display on the page as you make them.
Select the checkboxes below to display more HTML elements for you to style. Once you have selected all the styles you want click the ‘Generate CSS’ button at the bottom of the page.
The Select List Generator is, as the title suggests, a tool that transforms a list of words/phrases (separated by carriage returns) and converts it to an XHTML-compliant <select> list.
5. CSS Formatter and Optimiser
Em Calculator is a small JavaScript tool which helps making scalable and accessible CSS design. It converts size in pixels to relative em units, which are based on a text size.
7. Magnifier
Ever needed to see what’s going on on the screen down to the pixel level? That’s where the Magnifier comes in. Simple and easy to use, the Magnifier is always handy for when you need to see all the details.
8. Color Picker
Color Palette Creation is a Breeze With ColorPic
Ever tried using a color picker on a high resolution monitor? It’s impossible. That’s why this color picker has a magnifier attached. Grab palettes of up to 16 colors at once and use four advanced color mixers to select a spectrum of possibilities.
Use the CSS Grid Calculator to quickly visualize page layout and draw grids in a variety of ways. It provides accurate visual feedback on how text blocks and page divisions will appear within a browser window, and returns style declarations for divisions and text to copy and paste into style sheets. The Flash player plugin version 7 is required.
Grids are drawn to page edges and margins when they are set, or to the dimensions of the default page, 1280 pixels wide by 1024 pixels high. The unit of measurement for text is the pixel.
Four panels contain controls for columns, text, rows and divisions. Page dimensions and margins are set under the columns tab. Columns are set by number or by width, when the text line-height option is enabled. Gutter width is in pixels.
Text fields are added under the Text tab. A text field remains active and may be modified until a new text field is added. The default font is Arial. Type in the correct font name to use another font on your system. Placeholder text or your own copy may be inserted into text fields. Negative leading values are not supported. The check box at the panel bottom to enables the line-height option for column width and row height using the active text field.
10. CSS Checker
The CSS Syntax Checker for BBEdit and TextWrangler is a combination of Perl and AppleScript that allows you to syntax-check CSS files using the W3C’s CSS Validation Service. Errors and warnings from the validation service are displayed in a results browser, very similar in effect to BBEdit’s built-in HTML syntax checker.
JotForm is a completely web based form builder. It is developed for webmasters with minimum design experience. JotForm has an intuitive drag&drop and instant edit form editor. You can create web forms, collect submissions and payments from your web site visitors.
This tool is used to optimise CSS code. Enter either a URL or Copy & Paste the stylesheet into the box, and click Go. More information on this tool can be found on the about page.
13. Spanky Corners
‘Spanky Corners’ is an experimental technique for using only CSS to produce ’round-cornered content boxes’ with semantically pure markup. It does not require JavaScript to work
15. CSS Compressor

Hacks may cause problems, for best results you should remove them.
